Conceived and produced by Vignette, “The Conversation of Art” is a community awareness campaign developed for BIMA. The project was designed to both inform and excite the community by initiating a passionate conversation around art that will continue to flourish when the museum opens its doors in 2013. The campaign centers around a dedicated microsite that presents a series of interviews with local and regional community members sharing their thoughts on art and memorable museum experiences.

Video Interviews

A total of six videos, each exploring a new theme, will roll out over the coming months. Each interview revolves around a question related to people's experiences with art and museums. The first in the series, (shown below) ask the question: "Why does art matter to you?"

Interactive Design

All of videos are integrated and presented on a dedicated Conversation of Art microsite. In addition to viewing the interviews, visitors can also participate by adding their own responses to the questions posed in the videos. They can also learn about the museum and follow the progress of its construction. The site incorporates a responsive design that allows it work seamless across all desktop and mobile platforms.

The Street Component

To help promote and extend the reach of the project, Vignette designed a Chalk Wall that extends the conversation to the street, letting the community engage with art and express themselves on the museum's construction site.
